Counting the Ways I Love to Relax

I'm no stranger to stress and anxiety. I am one of those "high achievers" - a type A personality. I am competitive, but perhaps too much so. The consequence of my highly strung personality is that I suffer stress and anxiety. And to counter this stress, I do have a number of ways I like to relax. I meditate, I do Tai Chi, I've bought myself one of those cheap hot tubs, I love to play golf, and I love listening to classical music with a nice glass of wine (or two). For me, every human needs a routine that includes true relaxation. Some people do the opposite - they go out to stressful, noisy places, drink themselves silly, and wind up with more anxiety and health problems. You need to find a time in the day for only YOU and to spend that time in some kind of meditation. That doesn't mean literally meditating next to a candle, but being in "the zone" - being utterly relaxed and captivated by something other than your mental train of thoughts - that might be music, or just watching the bubbles in the hot tub.
