Making Everyone Happy for the Holiday Season

Gift buying can be a very difficult task, depending on the person. This Christmas, I tried to find something that was very personal to each of my family members. When choosing presents, I tried to pick something that had to do with their hobbies. For example, my father is an Elvis fan. I usually buy him Elvis presents. This time, I got a coffee table book. My mother likes dogs, so I typically get her something with her favorite breed. My brother is a soccer nut, so he got a jersey from his favorite time. These gifts were not too difficult to pick out, since I know my family members. For some people, I even made gifts for them using my jewellery making supplies.

I had to get a few gifts for colleagues at work. This is more difficult. I don’t like to get gift cards, since they seem very impersonal. Again, I try to think of something useful and thoughtful. I listen to hear if they mention something they want, or look on their desk to see what they’re interested in. If all else fails, I always find it nice to take a peer out for a nice lunch.
