You’ve probably bought your new spice grinder and found how convenient it is to use in the kitchen. While you are happily grinding away you probably remembered that you forgot to ask the store clerk how to clean out the grinder after using it. Well basically, the spice grinder’s main feature is its rotary blades which you should take utmost care in cleaning. In some models, these blades can be detachable so you can easily wash them with a little soap and water then properly dry them up before reattaching.
With other spice grinders the blades is impossible to remove. You will need to use a small dry paint brush to clean away the residue of the spices that you just grounded. They you can use a soft wet paper towel or small cloth to wipe the grinding bowl clean. One thing you must remember that if your grinder has a plastic lid, avoid grinding cloves with it. Cloves leave an oil residue which is difficult to clean off a plastic cover.
